Catherine Pilgrim‑Grayson, MD, MPH

Chief Medical Officer

As Chief Medical Officer, Catherine Pilgrim‑Grayson leads Medicines360’s clinical development, medical affairs, safety, and regulatory functions. She oversees strategy and execution across the organization’s full product portfolio, including drugs, medical devices, and diagnostics, guiding programs from early development through real‑world impact.

Catherine is a board-certified obstetrician/gynecologist. She completed her residency in Gynecology and Obstetrics at the Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions and built a varied clinical career in academic medicine. Her work included leading the Johns Hopkins Fibroid Center, as well as teaching, conducting research, and participating in international public health outreach. She also previously held a faculty position at Thomas Jefferson University, leading the Obstetrics and Gynecology clinic, and served as the Chief of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Maryland St. Joseph Medical Center.

Before joining Medicines360, Catherine held senior leadership roles at the US Food and Drug Administration. Most recently, she served as Director of the Division of Rare Diseases and Medical Genetics, providing scientific, clinical, technical, and regulatory direction and decisions for investigational therapies.

In prior roles at FDA, she was a Clinical Reviewer in the Division of Reproductive, Gastroenterologic and Urologic Devices at the Center for Devices and Radiological Health and Clinical Reviewer, acting Clinical Team Leader, acting Deputy Director and Deputy Director for Safety in the Division of Urology, Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Center for Drug Evaluation and Research.

Catherine graduated with Honors from Swarthmore College, earned her medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine, and holds an MPH with Honors from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. She is the author of more than 35 peer‑reviewed publications, has received multiple academic honors, and has been invited to speak at national and international conferences.
