Dr. Laura F. McKain serves as Interim Chief Medical Officer at Medicines360, joining the organization in 2025. A board-certified Obstetrician-Gynecologist with over 17 years of pharmaceutical industry experience, Dr. McKain brings a wealth of expertise in global product development across women’s health and other therapeutic areas.
Dr. McKain has held leadership roles at both for-profit and non-profit organizations, including PPD, Myovant Sciences, and the Gates Foundation. Her work has supported multiple product approvals in the United States and Europe, and she has provided strategic and operational consulting to organizations ranging from global enterprises to innovative start-ups.
Prior to transitioning to industry, Dr. McKain practiced clinical Obstetrics and Gynecology for 12 years in coastal North Carolina, solidifying her commitment to advancing women’s healthcare. She is passionate about addressing unmet medical needs through innovative product development, believing that empowering women with better healthcare options enables them to lead their best lives.
Dr. McKain earned her medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine and completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Virginia Commonwealth University. She is excited to contribute to Medicines360’s mission of improving healthcare access and equity for women worldwide.
